Dr. Robert Richard Brain: In Memoriam

Dr. Robert Richard Brain – of Belleville and formerly of Corbyville, entered into eternal rest at Q.H.C. Belleville General Hospital, on Wednesday October 21st, 2020 in his 94th year.

Father to podiatrist Dr. Martin Brain, Dr. Robert Brain was a Belleville Podiatrist for 36 years. Many will remember him for his strong commitment to podiatry as president of the Ontario Podiatric Medical Association (OPMA) and the podiatry professions’ governing body called The Board of Regents at the time.

Son of the late Alex and Cora Brain. The dearly beloved and devoted husband of Gwendolyn for 69 years. Father of Marie Wallace (late Scott), Dr. Martin Brain (Tina) and the late Richard Brain. Grandfather of Michael, Devon and Sarah. Great-grandfather of William, Thomas, Addison, Raelyn and Bowie. Brother of the late Lucille Irene Burgess.

Dr. Brain was a long-time associate of the St. Columba Presbyterian congregation. Rev. Jennifer Cameron  officiated at a Private Graveside Service at Elmwood Cemetery.
